gentle nutrition and sensory food education
I am a health educator with a Masters in Public Health, a reformed “wellness” promoter, and mother of two currently on a mission to dissolve stress around food for individuals and families.
My work in holistic nutrition therapy has evolved from the first iteration of my practice in New York in 2006 ( so young! so into kale!) A masters degree in public health, two kids, and three continents later I can safely say that quinoa is not the answer! I have since re-invested in the project of helping people find freedom with food while acknowledging that choices about what we eat are made within a messy web of identity factors and social determinants.
It is with this realistic lens, which will continue to blur and refocus, that I want to explore the complex human relationship to eating. I work with clients to foster curiosity, permission, trust and pleasure at the table through group workshops and private counseling.
